To promote competitive cycling and sustain excellent fitness while benefiting the communities where we live, work and ride.
cirque du vélos was formed because it was believed there were certain unattached cyclists who shared a common interest in riding competitively in local and regional organized rides and races and who would enjoy the benefits of being associated with an organized club, but were considered to be “non-prime” due to family and professional preferences, commitments and/or obligations.

Membership in cirque du vélos is by invitation only. The ideal candidate for membership would be an experienced cyclist who . . .
- Desires to ride competitively in local organized rides, team rides and sanctioned events consistent with Cat 5, Cat 4, or higher, and Master classifications;
- Desires to promote and contribute to our team’s overall cohesiveness, objectives and camaraderie;
- Desires to participate with other cirque du vélos team members in competitive organized rides and racing events; and
- Serves as a person of excellent character and a positive representative of the cycling community.
commitment . . .
- Participate in the Peddler Bike Shop Tuesday and Thursday AM rides in their current format;
- Participate in designated team rides on the day determined by the team membership;
- Wear the team issued kit when riding in the company of other team members or any organized, permitted or sanctioned ride or race;
- Promote and participate in any team decided community event; and
- Promote and support our sponsoring entities, including the Peddler Bike Shop as our cycling shop of choice for cycling equipment, supplies and repairs.
